Healthcare Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Data Scientist to join our team and help us manage our Real-World Data research programs.

In this role, the Healthcare Data Scientist will work in conjunction with Epidemiology and Informatics teams in designing and executing real-world studies that are fit-for-purpose. The Healthcare Data Scientist will be responsible for leading the analytical components of real-world studies addressing research questions within targeted disease areas. Your expertise in biostatistics will be instrumental in guiding the analysis of real-world data for evidence generation, using diverse datasets encompassing electronic medical record (EMR), claims, registry, and others.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Works in a cross-functional team to provide input on study design and statistical methodology guidance and services to clients and project teams in order to drive RWE project and client engagement success.
• Provides input and reviews relevant statistics sections of a protocol, sample size calculation, SAPs and shells, case report form (CRF) review.
• Writes programming specifications for statistical analyses, with a particular focus on statistical modeling. This includes selecting appropriate packages and functions, defining parameter configurations, and specifying desired output statistics and formats.
• Conducts programming on RWD as per protocol/SAP.
• Plans and documents timelines, forecasts resource needs, suggests work may be out of scope.
• Reviews and comments on proposals/budgets at a study level. May contribute to request for proposals (RFP) responses.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE

• MS degree in statistics or biostatistics. PhD is preferred.
• 5+ year RWE experience as a biostatistician and/or statistics programmer.
• Familiar with advanced statistical modeling and applications in RWD studies.Advanced hands-on experience in R, Python and SQL is required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills that enable personal impact with senior-level decision makers.
• Able to manage multiple projects, priorities, resources, and timeline.
• Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset.
