The organization is expanding its Sales Analytics team and is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help drive forecasting accuracy and data-informed strategic planning across the sales organization.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead forecasting and advanced analytics initiatives that inform revenue strategy and business planning.
You will:
Develop advanced sales forecasting models using statistical and machine learning approaches.
Build predictive models that produce short-term, mid-term, and long-term revenue forecasts across multiple product lines and regions.
Own the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, including problem scoping, feature engineering, model development, deployment, monitoring, and explainability.
Develop self-service forecasting tools and data products that enable real-time decision making for business stakeholders.
Translate complex model outputs into clear business insights and recommendations.
Decompose forecast drivers to improve understanding of revenue trends and planning assumptions.
Partner closely with analytics engineers, data analysts, and cross-functional business teams.
Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to technical design reviews and data science standards.
This role offers significant influence over the organization’s data science roadmap and forecasting capabilities.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong data scientist with experience building production forecasting systems and working closely with business stakeholders.
5+ years of experience in a data science role, or a graduate degree in a quantitative discipline with 3+ years of forecasting or revenue analytics experience.
Strong experience with time series forecasting techniques such as ARIMA, Prophet, or LSTM.
Expert proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and transformation.
Experience training and evaluating machine learning models using libraries such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, xGBoost, or tidymodels.
Experience building and deploying machine learning pipelines in production environments (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Databricks, or Snowflake).
Familiarity with software engineering practices including version control, testing, and reproducible workflows.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business recommendations.
Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving data-informed decisions.
Experience working with Snowflake.
Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience in education technology or the education sector.
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 base salary.
Bonus: Eligible for discretionary performance bonus.
