We are currently searching for a talented, professional Data Scientist - Expert with TS/SCI clearance to join our team to support NGA. 
 
About the Job
The Data Scientist will support NGA operations within Geospatial Activities by supporting new technologies and procedures to enhance geospatial databases and data storage. They will lead the design and application of methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance products, processes, and systems. This position will help accelerate the implementation of the NGA Data Strategy and crisis response to the community. This work will support QM doing new sensor integration into NGA’s MAVEN. MAVEN is NGA’s main AI initiative, using computer vision to automatically sift through vast amounts of GEOINT (NTM, FMV and now emerging sensors), to identify objects of interest, and extract relevant information, significantly reducing the time and effort required for manual analysis.
 
Requirements   
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required with willingness to sit for a CI Polygraph.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Data Science, Data management, and database knowledge.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases and cloud architectures.
  • Experience leveraging API’s to query systems and migrate data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate challenging technical concepts to both lay and expert audiences.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java
  • Experience developing and sustaining operational data pipelines supporting multiple data formats and interfaces
