Data Scientist - (CRO - PMO)

Location: Remote US

Position Summary

The Data Scientist serves as a core architect within the Corporate PMO, responsible for transforming complex data into predictive insights and decision-ready intelligence.

This role links analytical innovation and business application, developing advanced models, simulations, and algorithms that guide strategic decisions and operational performance.

Working closely with Data Analysts, Project Managers, and business leaders, the Data Scientist ensures that analytics not only inform decisions but change behavior through actionable, explainable, and measurable outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Model Development & Advanced Analytics

  • Design, build, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models across business domains including sales, supply chain, pricing, and operations.
  • Develop machine-learning algorithms that forecast outcomes, detect anomalies, and identify performance levers.
  • Continuously refine models based on real-world feedback, evolving datasets, and business needs.

Translation & Collaboration

  • Act as the technical translation layer between raw data and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts to ensure model outputs are operationalized through dashboards, forecasts, and scenario planning tools.
  • Partner with the Enablement & Alignment Manager to embed analytics into cross-functional initiatives.

Data Architecture & Integrity

  • Partner with IT and the Data Engineering team to maintain clean, structured, and governed data pipelines.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate data governance, compliance, and quality standards.

Insight Delivery & Business Application

  • Translate statistical findings into clear, concise executive insights and recommendations.
  • Build interactive visualizations and simulation tools that enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Support PMO initiatives by quantifying project performance and ROI through predictive analysis.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Research emerging AI/ML technologies and assess applicability within NWS's business model.
  • Develop reusable analytics frameworks and templates that accelerate insight generation across departments.
