We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Scientist to join our team and focus on HR-related use cases, including talent management, personalization, search capabilities, actionable insights, and reporting. In this role, you will apply your expertise in ML and AI, particularly in Generative AI, to develop and implement advanced analytical solutions! Your skills in deploying these GenAI solutions on cloud platforms will be crucial in turning data into actionable insights and driving strategic decision-making within our organization!

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Build and apply machine learning technology for HR-related use cases
  • Leverage hands-on experience with Generative AI to create innovative analytical solutions that address HR challenges and enhance business processes.
  • Design and deploy Generative AI models, ensuring optimal performance, accuracy, and scalability on cloud platforms.
  • Apply Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques for building and optimizing modular systems, use advanced retrieval methods, and monitor system performance.
  • Apply large language models (LLMs) to process complex HR documents, extracting structured information from diverse layouts.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in Generative AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies to continuously improve data science capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and ML engineers to integrate data science solutions seamlessly into existing HR systems and workflows.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical collaborators, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Conduct peer reviews of other Data Scientists' work and engage in model and code review processes to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to identify and define business requirements, ensuring alignment with data science strategies and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on machine learning, generative AI, prompt engineering, and RAG applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Gen AI-related tech stack, including Azure Cognitive Search, Langchain, Semantic Kernel, and agent frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI or Autogen.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python, and experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks such as PyTorch and scikit-learn.
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge,.
  • Preferably using the Azure stack, and experience with Azure ML, Databricks, Azure Data Factory.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modelling, and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong partner management skills, ability to translate sophisticated technical topics into business language, presentation skills, and the ability to balance urgency with high-quality, pragmatic solutions.
  • Exceptional knowledge of professional software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Collaboration and communication skills, demonstrating a commitment to organizational success and sharing resources and knowledge across the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, or "Ph.D. or equivalent experience

Salary range is expected to be between

$75,880.00 CAD - $140,920.00 CAD
